Terms and conditions
This is an English translation for visitors. If it differs from the German text, the German version applies.
As of 7 August 2026
1. Scope
These terms apply to all tattoo appointments made through the website or otherwise with Selina Decker (“the artist”).
2. Booking
An enquiry through the contact form is not yet a booking. An appointment becomes binding only once the artist confirms it and the agreed deposit has been paid.
3. Deposit
When the appointment is confirmed, a deposit of €50 is due. The deposit secures the appointment and covers the work already done to prepare it, in particular consultation, the design and holding the time. If you attend the appointment, the deposit is deducted from the total price.
4. Cancellation and the deposit
The deposit pays for work already done before a cancellation. If you cancel or postpone, the artist may keep the deposit to the extent that it covers the work actually done. You may show that no work, or substantially less work, was done.
5. Distance selling and the right of withdrawal
If the deposit is paid at a distance, for example by PayPal before the appointment, the booked service is a leisure service that the artist undertakes to provide on a specific date. Under § 312g (2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB) there is no statutory right of withdrawal in this case. By paying the deposit you confirm that you know about this exclusion.
6. Minimum age
Tattoos are only done on adults (18 years or older). Please bring a valid photo ID to the appointment.
7. Health
You confirm that, before the appointment, you will truthfully disclose health conditions that may make tattooing unsuitable, for example pregnancy, blood-clotting disorders, skin conditions, allergies or medication. If you are unsure, please speak to a doctor first. The artist may refuse or postpone an appointment for health reasons or if there is doubt that it is safe to tattoo.
8. Aftercare
After the appointment you receive aftercare instructions. Looking after the tattoo properly is your responsibility. The artist is not liable for healing problems or changes in how the tattoo looks that come from improper aftercare or from your own healing.
9. Images
With your explicit consent, photos of the finished tattoo may be used in the portfolio on this website and on social media, including Instagram @creativelines.tattoo. Consent is given separately before the appointment and can be withdrawn for the future at any time.
10. Payment
The remaining amount is due on the day of the appointment, in cash or by PayPal. Other payment methods are possible only if agreed in advance.
11. Carrying out the tattoo
The artist may refuse or stop a tattoo if health, hygiene or professional reasons stand in the way, or if the requested design breaks the law or contains discriminatory, inciting or otherwise criminal content.
12. Lateness
If you arrive significantly late, the artist may shorten or cancel the appointment if it can no longer be done properly in the time left. In that case there is no right to a replacement appointment.
13. Limitation of liability
The artist is liable under the statutory rules for injury to life, body or health, for intent, for gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act. For a slightly negligent breach of essential contractual duties, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Otherwise liability is excluded to the extent the law allows.
14. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If any of these terms is or becomes wholly or partly invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in effect.
