Privacy policy
This is an English translation for visitors. If it differs from the German text, the German version applies.

2. General
I process personal data of people who use this website only where that is needed to provide the website, its content and my services, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a), (b) and (f) GDPR.
3. Appointment and contact form
If you use the form to ask for an appointment, the details you enter (including your name, email, phone number if you give one, your message and any files you upload) are processed so I can answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps before a contract). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for your enquiry, unless the law requires it to be kept.
The form is sent through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards it by email to the address above. FormSubmit’s privacy policy: formsubmit.co/privacy
4. Hosting
This website is hosted with DigitalOcean, LLC, 105 Edgeview Drive, Suite 425, Broomfield, CO 80021, USA, on App Platform in the Frankfurt region. Information such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of access (server logs) is processed automatically. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in running the website securely and reliably).
The site may be delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare may process the IP address and set a cookie that is technically required to protect the site from abuse. That cookie is not used for analytics or advertising.
Because DigitalOcean and Cloudflare are based in the USA, data may be transferred to a country outside the EU. That transfer relies on the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR). Details: www.digitalocean.com/legal/privacy-policy and www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
The website is built with the Astro framework. That has no separate effect on data processing, because Astro is a development tool.
5. Fonts and map
The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Opening the website connects to Google’s servers.
A Google Maps embed (Google Ireland Limited) shows the studio location. Loading the map connects to Google and sends your IP address. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
6. Instagram
This website may include content or links to my Instagram profile (@creativelines.tattoo). Opening those parts can connect to servers of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and send data there. Details: privacycenter.instagram.com/policy
7. Cookies
This website does not currently use cookies for analytics or advertising. A technically required cookie from the delivery service is described under Hosting.
8. Tattoo photos in the portfolio
Photos of finished tattoos are published in the portfolio and on social media only with the person’s prior, separate consent (see also section 9 of the terms). Consent can be withdrawn for the future at any time. The photo is then removed.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR)
- have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
The supervisory authority is the data-protection authority of your federal state. For Berlin, that is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
